Who We Are

Too often, life-saving mental health services are inaccessible to the very people who need them most. At Renewing Lives Initiative, we’re on a mission to change that.

Founded by Nicole and Bryan Bankhead—both dedicated mental health and wellness professionals shaped by their own personal journeys—we provide financial support for psychedelic-assisted therapy, LENS Neurofeedback, and other holistic approaches that address trauma, PTSD, and emotional distress.

Nicole is a Licensed Professional Counselor and certified Psychedelic-Assisted Therapist, while Bryan is an Integrative Health Practitioner specializing in mind-body wellness. Together, they partner with certified, trauma-informed practitioners to ensure every recipient receives compassionate, high-quality care without the burden of cost.

Whether you're someone seeking healing or a supporter wanting to create impact, your presence here means you believe in healing beyond the limitations of the traditional system. And so do we.

Helping Those Who’ve Dedicated Their Lives to Others

Renewing Lives Initiative provides critical financial grants to individuals who otherwise might not afford psychedelic therapies, substantially increasing access to effective mental health treatments.

Veterans

Many veterans face PTSD, moral injury, anxiety, or depression after their time in service. We help connect them with psychedelic-assisted therapy and neurofeedback healing services to support long-term recovery and reconnection with self.

First Responders

Firefighters, EMTs, police officers, and other front-line responders often live with chronic stress, trauma, or emotional burnout. We fund holistic care designed to help them regulate the nervous system, process trauma, and build resilience.

Trauma Survivors

Whether due to childhood experiences, systemic oppression, or personal crisis, trauma impacts every aspect of life. We support individuals seeking deep healing through alternative modalities when traditional talk therapy hasn’t been enough.

Underserved Communities

We prioritize individuals who cannot afford access to care—those facing treatment-resistant symptoms, financial hardship, or barriers due to race, gender identity, or socioeconomic background.
